Testimonials

Many years ago I had 2 photos of my mother restored, with negatives made (now couldn’t find the negatives). They needed to be restored again - luckily, I found Bruce and Janet mentioned in Facebook comments, pertaining to Photo Restoration. The one photo was quite small, with a crease in it; the other very faded (the original had been taken in the late 30’s). I gave them the 2 photos (returned to me on completion), a detailed analysis was done, cost provided, restoration completed and the requested prints, plus a digital copy, were provided. The process was smooth, timely, and the outcome was fantastic. I requested that the photos be kept authentic and in black/white. Bruce did just that! I would highly recommend Bruce and Janet - while at the studio I saw other works that had been done. They were all wonderful to see and it was evident that Bruce was very knowledgeable and loved photography (and everything about it). Thank you both!

I found some old photos of my mom and dad with me as an infant. They were very small black and white photos, and I wanted to have them enlarged so I could frame them. I was very happy with the results and would recommend using them again. Thank you, Bruce and Janet, for helping me achieve my goal.

I am absolutely thrilled with the results of Bruce Davis' expertise. He was able to restore details on images that were deteriorated. This type of work is incredibly valuable when one works with old deteriorated images. It is like winning a lottery when the original image can be restored. I highly recommend Bruce's work.

Artist Statement
I document my day-to-day experiences through my lens & then decide how to categorize each photo after I've finished developing & editing them. Each photo is a presentation of a moment, of something that caught my eye & required my attention. I tend to see balance & form, light & shadow. I find the abstract in everyday things & I find unique & interesting moments with people on the street. I tend to capture memories & nostalgia. I love strange & haunting still life, minimalism & photography that tells a story.  I am drawn to the concept of transformation & this concept can be found in a lot of my work. My creativity is hardwired to my emotional state & a lot of my inspiration is driven by the concept of nostalgia, dreams & symbolism. When I see something that connects to a feeling inside me, I want to capture it, I want to study it & I want to share it. I like to let time influence my creative decisions in my art, so I will let photographs sit for years before I develop them.
Music is a big part of my process & my personal life. Music influences my creativity & my emotional state. Music helps me explore my inner life & helps me formulate what I want to express through my work.
